1) Never bet against Apple or Facebook. However much they “mess up”.
2) Perception can be the make or ruin of people (perceived vs. actual consumer behaviour is woefully undervalued and misunderstood by most people in most industries).
3) Nothing is insurmountable or indestructible.
4) “News is whatever Google (and editors) say it is”. (Source: Chris A/Wired)
5) Youth and realism are both grossly undervalued by most people (especially youth!).

Apologies again for the lack of poss recently – lots going on at Kindred.  Normal service will be resuming shortly!

1) Who’s going to buy Foursquare?  Will they treat your data in the same way Foursquare does?

1) some f-ing excitement – I meet far too many pros utterly petrified or baffled by social media.  I tell them, you know all this stuff, it’s just a bit different now.  Use it, conquer the fears and gain new skills.  How’s the CV?!

2)some f-ing brakes – knowing what something is is not the same as knowing how/when to use it.  Before you comment and hand me back my egg part sucked, advising and implementing are very different.  The right tool for the right job – you won’t be an expert overnight and you’ll continually learn but start small and grow your knowledge every day.  Take people to coffee and go to events.
